Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs.
- Provide evidence-based therapy techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy.
- Consult and collaborate with parents, caregivers, and school personnel to support the child's treatment and development.
- Monitor and assess patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and treatment outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute to a holistic approach to patient care.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree with a specialization in Psychiatry.
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of New Jersey. Pennsylvaniahiladelphia and New York licenses are a plus.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Minimum of two years of experience working with children and adolescents in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development and behavioral health disorders.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with young patients and their families.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
