Re: Front Desk Representative / Patient Advocate
I am applying for the Front Desk Representative role at GABA Telepsychiatry. I bring over five years of remote customer service experience — including two years handling 60+ daily calls for US customers at FreedomPlus — combined with something less common: real, personal experience inside the healthcare system.
In 2023, I travelled to the UK to care for my sister through her breast cancer diagnosis, mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. I was her first point of contact with every medical team, her advocate in difficult conversations, and her support through some of the hardest moments of her life. During that time, I completed the Care Certificate on Alison to formalise my knowledge of patient care, dignity, and duty of care. That experience gave me a deep understanding of how vulnerable people feel when reaching out for help — and how much the tone of that first interaction matters.
At FreedomPlus, I managed inbound and outbound calls, explained complex products clearly, and consistently met performance targets in a fully tracked environment — all remotely, for American customers. Those skills transfer directly to converting patient enquiries, explaining your services and pricing, and scheduling appointments with warmth and professionalism.
I am available for US business hours, 40–48 hours per week, fully set up with fibre broadband and a noise-cancelling headset. I would love the opportunity to bring both my professional and personal experience to your team.
