Gaba Telepsychiatry is looking for a Board-Certified Psychiatrist who wishes to practice telemedicine but is open to going to a local office for a couple of days a month (flexible) in order to conduct initial visits for patients who would benefit from appropriately prescribed controlled substances. Office visits are flexible with respect to timings.
We are interested in hiring a psychiatrist who has a passion for private practice, enjoys patient interactions, and is looking to build a secure and long-term patient portfolio. The ideal candidate would be open to discussing patient care difficulties with front desk staff or patient advocates, management of any safety or legal issues, should the occasion arise, and be flexible and proactive in regard to dealing with patient emergencies and patient issues. You will be offered extensive support and assistance to enable you to focus on the effective treatment of your patients:
1. Our patient advocates complete registrations and questionaries, as well as screening for safety issues.
2. EHR is easy to use.
3. A small team of Patient advocates, can schedule follow-ups, check scripts have arrived, call pharmacies on your behalf, address any claim form or billing issues, charge cards for patient visits, complete sick notes, as well as accommodation and disability forms for your review and signature, call in 3-day emergency supply for non-controlled substances.
4. The medical director is available to see your patients for emergencies should you be unavailable.
5. Will involve one weekend on call a month from home where there is usually not more than one emergency
6. Second-opinion consults are available for challenging and dual-diagnosis patients
7. Patient advocates will call patients and monitor for side effects in between appointments if requested.
